There are more ways to misrepresent the facts than just date parameters.

Some left-wing group did a skewed survey years ago. A prime example of their bias is the guy who flew a plane into the IRS building in Austin. They labelled him right-wing for apparent anti-government bias, when he has a specific beef against the IRS and quoted Marx in his suicide note. Hardly a right-winger. Other so-called right-wing incidents were situations such as a domestic violence call against a militia person that ended in a police standoff.

That's also my question. IIRC, the worst "right-wing" killings in recent years were the eight deaths caused by Dylan Roof at the black church. Meanwhile, we have San Bernardino, Orlando, and numerous others done by Jihadis.
I'm guessing they count any killings as "terrorism" if they are committed by anyone who ever expressed conservative opinions, even if the actual killing was motivated by a domestic dispute, road rage, or some other non-terrorist circumstance.
