Woman arrested after Range Rover ends up on Midland [England] Metro tram line

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a car on the tram lines left on the tracks near Winson Green metro tram stop. A woman aged 38 was arrested for obstruction and dangerous driving. “She was released pending further enquiries. Our investigations are ongoing."
This is exactly why Birmingham is being short-changed on transport
A Midland Metro spokesman said: "The first - empty - Midland Metro tram at 0430 on Sunday morning discovered a car blocking the tracks between Winson Green and Handsworth Booth Street.
“For most of Sunday, we therefore had to run a shortened service - between Wolverhampton St George’s and Handsworth Booth Street.

A new Range Rover Sport here starts around $75k and is a lot more in the UK. Story says this one was worth 20k pounds, less than $30K, so at least it wasn’t a new one.

I guess easier to let it sit there than have to pay someone OT to move it on Sunday.

My old cheap GPS thinks it’s over a decade ago - driving through Oklahoma, she kept trying to get me to drive into the woods every 1/2 miles - I had to shut her up.
Figured there was some guy with a hockey mask and a chain saw in there somewhere......(hey I like Oklahoma a lot - just don’t trust an old GPS - especially when I knew I needed to stay north to I-44 not drive west into the tree line lol)
