OK! That makes sense. Thanks.
Glad I wasn’t rude about it.

My parents sold me for drugs when I was 5 years old. They made out real well when they were paid triple just to take me back a week later.

I guessed the location before reading the first sentence. That area has some reputation.

My husband inherited some acreage in the high desert years ago not far from Edwards AFB and we thought at one time we’d build our retirement home on it - get out of the city which is what his folks had done in the 50’s....until a local realtor told us we’d never be able to leave the place to even drive into town to grocery shop. The place would be stripped as soon as we left the area and 20 miles to go grocery shopping wasn’t really very appealing either.

It had water and there were power and phone lines to the property but it didn’t take long for the power and phone poles to be cut down and hauled away, along with all the hurricane fencing surrounding 40 acres that had fence posts sunk in concrete... Nothing was going to stop those bandits and I’m sure they’re still proliferating out there.

It was our “go to” for shooting on weekends - no neighbors in sight!
