Justices: Judge too hasty in ordering documents turned over to anti-Trump activists
The Supreme Court said Wednesday that the Trump administration doesnt have to turn over a massive load of documents relating to the decision to phase out the Obama-era DACA deportation amnesty, and delivered another spanking to a California court thats repeatedly ruled against President Trump.
In an unsigned opinion, the justices said the judge was too hasty in ordering the documents to be turned over to anti-Trump activists who are suing to try to derail the DACA phaseout.
The district court may not compel the government to disclose any document that the government believes is privileged without first providing the government with the opportunity to argue the issue, the high court said in the opinion.
A number of organizations across the country sued after the Trump administration in early September said it was phasing out the DACA program, which President Barack Obama created by executive action in 2012, and which is protecting nearly 700,000 illegal immigrant Dreamers.

It’s encouraging and knowing how President Trump is most always two or three steps ahead of everyone else I agree.

The Ninth has been a Rogue Court for Decades. It’s overturn rate is scandalous. Now there are about seven vacancies, and Trump is going to fill them all with our kind of judges.
Wow. I’m aware you know this, but I like to bring it up from time to time.

I imagine the commie judges running the 9th Circus are not happy about those vacancies and who will be filling them.
I love it. :-)

DACA is illegal.
It can’t be illegal to stop operating an illegal program.

Agreed, and I believe the court has already said it’s probably unconstitutional.

Reminds me of the glee I had when we won the Trifecta, getting rid of Rose Turd and two of her pall wing-nuts off the California Supreme Court.

The district court may not compel the government to disclose any document that the government believes is privileged without first providing the government with the opportunity to argue the issue. Not quite the same, but an excellent precedent to try to extend to Mueller's document grab.

Good point, Mueller stepped way over the line on that in my view.

I had left CA a while before Rose was shown the door but it was still a good thing to hear about.

which is protecting nearly 700,000 illegal immigrant Dreamers. So the real number is not over 800 thousand, which is often quoted.
