Even though Cultural Christianity is not real Christianity, it is the milk that a non-believer can drink. By removing it from our culture, a seeker only sees Christianity as a club or as bunch of weak do-gooders who venture out to serve a meal and then retreating back inside their walls.

So, when they seek purpose in their life they are attracted to the religion that seems to believe in itself. I talked to one of these dumb, white converts to the Arabic Moon God a few years ago. He was a recent convert so he was in what Calvinists call “the cage stage” when describing a newly Reformed Christian.

The things he was most excited about?

1) The fact that Allah knows that he is a hopeless sinner. (He knew that Christ does too, but could not accept that God would accept him without works.)

2) The rules. He wanted order more than anything. He wanted to be told that something is not OK, or that he must do something for his god.

3) But at the same time, he wanted to rejoice in being able to remain Natural Man (the sinful man) while working his way to heaven. The thought of receiving a regenerated heart that would make him hate sin more and more was ridiculous to him.

4) This one is pure teaching, but he already believed that it is blasphemy to believe that God would have a Son and would come to live as a human. They seem to teach that early to keep their converts from running to Christianity.

These idiots who convert to barbaric false religion after growing up in a nominally Christian nation should be showing us that our anything-goes, numbers-led Christianity that is practiced in seeker-sensitive churches is not working. At least, churches with better coffee than theology don’t work for Christ. They does work for Satan.

Too many churches follow the forms of religiosity rather than sticking to the teachings of Jesus.
