New Report: Was FBI Chief Legal Counsel James Baker Captured By New DOJ Leak Task Force?…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | 12-23-17 | Sundance

Things are getting increasingly interesting and simultaneously obvious. Thursday night the Washington Post reported that FBI Director Christopher Wray had relieved FBI Chief Legal Counsel, James Baker, of his responsibilities within the department.

Attorney James Baker accompanied FBI Asst. Director “Andy” McCabe to the Tuesday congressional hearing with the House Intelligence Community. Curiously, in addition to other lines of inquiry, during the questioning McCabe was asked about whether James Baker was authorized to speak to the media about the Steele Dossier and the underlying ‘counterintelligence’ operation. Asst. Director McCabe responded that Baker would not be authorized to take such action.

Following the HPSCI hearing, republican committee leadership announced their plan to subpoena James Baker for further questioning. [Keep in mind Baker was there.] Two days later, at the Thursday Judiciary and Oversight Committee hearings, James Baker did not accompany Andrew McCabe. Hours later, James Baker is removed from his responsibilities as legal counsel within the FBI. Cause: ‘unknown‘.

Back in July, 2017, it was reported that James Baker was under a criminal investigation for leaking classified information from within the FBI, although the details of the leak content were unknown. Politico today reports that James Baker has been identified as the likely source that released information about the Fusion-GPS/Christopher Steele “Russian Conspiracy Dossier” to David Corn of Mother Jones in October of 2016:

Well said. The genius of Trump was leading the Swamp to believe that the self-recused Sessions was weak and aloof, and drawing attention to Team Mueller’s flashy pursuit of evidence of crimes that Trump never committed. All the while, Sessions had his IG and who-knows-who-else quietly investigating the conspirators while they were still in the petri dishes of their government offices. It is a great advantage to be underestimated.

I would love to eat crow regarding my past views about Sessions. In fact, I am going to go get myself a crow now to keep in the freezer in sweet anticipation.

You are right of course. But I guess many here are waiting for Hillary and her flying monkeys “to be hanging from nooses” with great anticipation.

Thank you for saying this. I am from Alabama and it upsets me to hear the comments about Sessions. He has always been a man of integrity. When he was our state AG he did so many good and honorable things that have been forgotten. He is not a grand stander, he just quietly does the job.

It’s obvious you have never worked in a federal agency or closely with the Secretary of a department. I have, several in fact.

All the Assistant Secretaries and many Deputy Assistant Secretaries are political appointees and serve at the pleasure. They may be replaced at any time. The Secretary, while somewhat limited in dealing with the civil service can make or break the Assistant Secretaries as he/she pleases with the only exception if the AS was a White House placement. Then special handling is required. I have been there and have seen it many times.

If something is not being revealed or released it is because the Secretary wants it that way.

Sessions is a potted plant, useless in point of fact.

Trump’s entire presidential personnel management has been a disaster. Perhaps we should restrict comments on these matters to those who have actually served in political appointment positions under several Republican administrations. That will keep the blowhards here who have never gone through white house clearance from speculating on political matters they know nothing about.

So we should only listen to the swamp creatures on what is going on?

Do you have any idea how stupid that is?

I don't know about "restrict".

I was thinking more along the lines of displaying you in cages where we can watch you playing with yourselves, like the baboons you are, just as a reminder of how NOT to do things.

Nice of you though to have shown up as recently as 2016, now to tell longtime Freepers how they ought to run their forum.

To hunt in a swamp you have to know the swamp. That means you have been there, gotten your feet muddy, been fired because you were too conservative, been hired because you were a conservative, been fired because you were a Republican.

If that pedigree makes you a swamp creature fine. It takes a swamp creature to know how to kill a swamp creature.

But it sounds like you’ve never hunted.

Arm chair warriors have little value on the battlefield.

“...to stupid to inform themselves about what Sessions has done...”

They should be zotted. The constant mocking of Sessions is relentless, not true and makes FR look ridiculous.

About ten inches of the merry stuff here so far.

But NO wind yet, which is the real gift.

Talked to the gun dealer outside Bozeman yesterday. He said they had eight or ten inches on the ground already and were expecting another foot.

Merry Christmas to you!

Ive got a feeling that coup chart is going to grow to where we need one of those giant curved hi-res displays to show all of it at once.
