It is total BS that Ted Kennedy ever had the slightest regrets, remorse or pangs of conscience about what happened at Chappaquiddick. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. The only thing he cared about then was how to save his own hide and political future. The only thing he cared about the rest of his life was keeping the Kennedy myths (yes, plural) alive so he could hide behind them.
I'm sure plenty of reprehensible people have been elected to Congress in the course of our country's 230 years, but NONE more so than Edward M. Kennedy.
“Senatorial Privilege”, a smallish book I read many years ago laid the whole thing out pretty well. Don’t know if it’s even available any more.
“I’m sure plenty of reprehensible people have been elected to Congress in the course of our country’s 230 years, but NONE more so than Edward M. Kennedy.”
I think John McCain is trying hard to beat that record...when the truth about him is told in another 20-30 years, I think even those who despise him will be surprised at how bad it is!
Does the trailer imply that he was crying about what he just did, or a realization that he just torpedoed his political future?
[[but NONE more so than Edward M. Kennedy.]]
I dunno- one senator who was president for the last 8 years destroyed the country- attacked the constitution- destroyed the sanctity of marriage etc- attacked conservatives- filled our country with muslims from dangerous countries- protected them- coddled them- etc- and allowed islamic terrorists to operate drug gangs here in the US- both were pretty bad- one actually destroyed much of what our country stood for-
