President Donald Trump attacked FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe amid news of his impending retirement in a series of Saturday tweets.
Trump made reference to hundreds of thousands of Clinton-allied fundraising dollars spent on behalf of McCabe’s wife during a race for the Virginia state Senate in 2015. McCabe later played a key role in the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server, which did not result in a criminal charge. He recused himself from that investigation only after reports of the financial ties between his wife and Clinton-linked groups became public.
McCabe is reportedly waiting a few months to retire from the FBI in order to accrue full lifetime pension benefits, much to the apparent ire of Trump. Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley recently called for McCabe’s removal, saying he “ought to go for reasons of being involved in some of the things that took place in the previous administration. We want to make sure that there’s not undue political influence within the FBI.”
The president then made reference to the recent reassignment of top FBI lawyer James Baker who served at the helm of the bureau for nearly 25 years. Baker was possibly linked in recent days as a source to a reporter for left-wing news organization Mother Jones.
Let’s ignore how McCabe and his cronies dropped a nuclear bomb on Trump as he made his way in.

does anyone really think if Trump was in any kind of trouble he’d be smacking these punks around on twitter?.....these guys are in trouble and they know it....this is close to sedition....just wow.
Wonder if McCabe would like to revise his comments about the first thing that should happen to Gen. Flynn.
Why doesn't Trump just fire him?
They are civil service, so they can’t be easily dismissed. Their positions are not political appointments (only the Director is within the FBI).
Let’s hope the proper investigations are being conducted and that McCabe, Baker, Strzok, Page, et al will get fried in every way possible, both within civil service procedures and with relevant criminal prosecutions.
It may be past time to revamp our whole approach to “civil service” which makes it much too difficult to deal with malfeasance, dead weight, and other bureaucratic problems. But that takes Congressional legislation, not simply executive fiat.
Regular people go to prison for criminal conduct.
Politicians and bureaucrats get a golden parachute.
Trump should fire him for gross negligence in not recusing himself while his wife received the dirty payola. Should anything else be confirmed, well then he has a date with Old Sparky.
I bet Sessions throws McCabe a retirement party.
And thanks him for his many years of service.
And award him a metal and a watch.

Look at what McCabe’s buddy Muller has done to General Flynn.
The Deep State has had decades of treating people unethically for their own twisted purposes, believing they are above an consequences.
I do not have any problem with consequences for McCabe. It will take more than 90 days for an investigation. Let him turn on his former buddies. When he is fully cooperating, maybe let him retire instead of go to jail.

Trump didn’t kick McCabe hard enough. Stripping him of his pension and benefits would be a start.

You got to love that Trump is a different kind of President. He is a street fighter, who when he is punched, punches back. When his opponent is knocked down, he tells him to haul his sorry ass out of town. Not so much for the humiliation of that opponent, but to make sure every other potential opponent understands what will to him, if they challenge Trump.
This set of Tweets is aimed at Mueller and those that work for Mueller that think they are above the law and safe in their witch hunt.
