A couple of years ago I stayed overnight at my niece’s house on Christmas Eve and her four little girls, who were probably around six (the triplets) and seven years old at the time, were watching the NORAD Santa tracker. That year they had pop up messages from Santa, sort of like text messages. Lili said, “I sure hope Santa isn’t texting while driving. That can be really dangerous and the Air Force might pull him over.” LOL!

That same year I wrote this about the things I heard all my little nieces say that Christmas.

“Things I heard my little nieces say this Christmas”:

Cecilia (6) - sitting on her grandfather’s lap while signing him “Rudolph, The Red Nose Reindeer”. Grandpa: “Wow Cecilia, you knew all the words”. Cecilia: “Yes and I sang all the right notes too and very dramatically.”

Vivian (4) – Me: “What did you ask Santa to bring you for Christmas?” Vivian: “Some cake and um. Um. Um. And a giraffe. A real one, not suffeteded.”

Helen (6) - “Aunt G, you can help me open my presents tomorrow morning. If Santa doesn’t bring you anything, you can open half of my presents, because I love you and Christmas is about love and sharing.” (Heart!!!)

Madi (6) - while waiting at the top of the stairs with her sisters to come downstairs to see what Santa brought on Christmas morning: “Oh my Gosh! Hey you guys! Look out the window at the snow! It snowed! It’s a Christmas Miracle!”

Madi (6) - this morning when opening her gift from her big sister (7-year-old Mel) who bought her sisters’ presents at her school’s Secret Santa Store and wrapped them herself in grocery store plastic bags- “Yea! Yea! Look what I got! Look what I got! My very own trash bag!” Madi’s Mom: “Look inside the bag Madi, your present from Mel is inside the bag”. Madi: “Oh wow! A bracelet too! I got two presents!”

Lili and Helen (6) – playing together, Helen wearing her Disney Princess dress up shoes and her and her sister playing with grocery cart, cash register and pretend food they got, Helen to her sister while pretend grocery shopping: “Oh thank you Princess Lili for these beautiful shoes.” Lili to Helen: “You don’t wear shoes like that to go grocery shopping, you wear them when you go on a date or out for a nice dinner.”

Mel (7) – while playing with the guitar Santa brought her: Mel’s mom: “You are really playing so well, just like a rock star”. Mel: “Well I’m not going to be a rock star when I grow up, I’m going to President of the United States, but I could be a very musical President. Thomas Jefferson played the violin.”

Merry Christmas everyone.

Santa's in Russia.

I knew it, even Santa's in cahoots with the Russians.......So if I don't get that special present then I can blame it on them.

I hear the Trump Force One was gathering dust, so POTUS loaned his 757 to Santa to make deliveries quicker this year. Rudolph qualified for left chair and is the Captain of the flight.
