I remember driving to Erie in a snow storm. Can’t imagine what it would be like in that amount of snow. Stuck on I-90 comes to mind.
Happened to me and my family in the 70s, I think 1976. We were in our 1973 Ford F250 (2wd). It had a huge camper in the bed and we were on the way back to Ohio from a Vermont ski trip. We got south of Buffalo on 90 and that, as they say, was that. Fortunately, the truck had two gas tanks that were full. We were stationary for around 15 hours. There was 24+ inches of snow on the highway so we "camped" heh.
Yeah = back then, I-90 was the original concrete slabs and the joints would make the tires keep cadence...bu-bip....bu-bip....
