Not forecast to get above freezing in my part of NJ until January 4th, with at least 5 nights with overnight lows in the low single digits...

The Warmunists blather on, but winter goes on as usual, unfortunately.
The best part about Winter is when it ends.

Im calling for a HUGE wall on our Northern boarder to keep illegal Canadian cold out of our country!
Under NAFTA, they are illegally dumping their cold production on our country.
Maybe a new mountain range is called for.

6F here in Indy right now. Not expected to make it up to freezing for a few days.

Many moons ago working at a remote site I found if you pee outside at -40F it freezes before it hits the ground. Makes a tinkling sound when it hits the ground and breaks.

Unfortunately I meet them every day. It’s incredible how selectively uninformed they are.

*** “I met a vacationing couple from Minnesota on the beach in Florida today. They got out just in time. Thats some crazy cold up there” ***
Here in South Texas you can spot them a mile away ... if it is 50 deg out they are wearing shorts a t-shirt and flip flops ... while we shivering locals are donning long johns, boots and a coat. (but they don’t stick around for Summer)
I am acclimated! I’m dang near nekkid for 9 months of the year.

Good thing we put in the extra insulation this summer.
Nice and cozy inside.
Outside on the other hand.....

Been hanging around -5 or so, windchills -25 or so. The humidity has been so high that it just cuts through clothing like youre standing naked unless your wearing leather or something it cant get through. "Columbia" and similar products worthless.
Im sure it must be global warming.

I live about 80 miles south of Fort Drum. But a little south of Fort Drum is the Tug Hill Plateau, which averages more than 200 inches of snow a year. One small hamlet had 466.9 inches in one year (winter 76-77).
