I was stationed in various European countries from 1991-1997.
I actually worked with several former communist countries setting up NATO communications with them.
My favorite was northern Romania, in what historically was Transylvania. Absolutely gorgeous!

It’s not a morning show, but now FNC has one of the Wwekly Standard’s establishbots, Kelly Ann Torrance, on to bash President Trump. Her battery must be fully charged cause she’s talking a mile a minute.
We are going to do a late Spring/18 trip to Hungary, Slovenia and Romania. We are really looking forward to it.
So, two comments.
While my grandparents were still alive I could not go back to the Old country as I would be inducted into the commy military. The commies did not consider us as refugees.

This comment is old local eastern European bigotry that I am sure still pervades not just eastern Europe but Europe in general.
Transylvania may have been "stolen" from the Hungies and all that live there are Gypsies, tramps and thieves (maybe you can hum a few bars :)

Sadly, the driveby’s shows are just as silly in the recordings as they were live.
A simple New Year’s wish:
That the driveby’s clean up their collective acts and start airing the news rather than making it up.
That was not the reality on the ground when I was there 1977-79. I will leave it at that.
I do know the agreement was signed, what was actually done are often different things.
In its history, it was Dacia, then Rome, then Germanic tribes, invaded by Huns (Hungarians)and Bulgars (Bulgarians); taken over by Ottoman Turks; then reclaimed by the Hapsburgs of Austria-Hungary, and finally taken over by the Romanians.
When I was there, the locals told me everyone there was Romanian and had always been Romanian--LOL! It wasn't true, but that was what they were pushing.
Best lookin’ women in all Eastern Europe is Bulgarian. Hubba-hubba!!!!

Dropped it as a forlorn hope, set my sights on just nukin' 'em from orbit and rebuilding the entire thing on the warm slag.
Sadly, after the past year, I've added a whole bunch of establishments to a list of places in need of the same treatment.
