I would like to start a sub-thread within this thread as the Sunday shows are crap today (well, mire than usual)...
Name your top THREE stories for 2017.
My top three:
1. Trump WINS, not just survives!
2. North Korea pushed back, hard.
3. ISIS destroyed.
Okay, before the shows start up, forgive my rant. But I’m not at all sure how to handle something and this is one of the few social media vehicles in which I can write in privacy.
It’s my friend Diane Feinstein and I am about at the end of my rope.
She has never been on time for a single thing in her life.
Do y’all know people like that? Why are they like that? Are you (whoever is foolish enough to be reading this) late all the time?
First, let us establish that I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I have been late for anything, including work, appointments, dates, you name it, in my lifetime.
I do not think this makes me better than anyone else because MOST people are on time, early even, or close to being on time.
Diane Feinstein will be late to her own funeral.
First, the choir master forced her out because one of her more annoying habits was to show up so late for the pre-mass choir practice that she completely missed the rehearsal. We’d be using our fifteen minutes practice time and out of the corner of our eyes there would be Diane Feinstein hurrying in at the end of our practice.
Finally the choir director made a rule that if you were late for the pre-mass practice YOU DO NOT SING WITH THE CHOIR DURING THE MASS!!!
She positively annoyed the hell out of everyone.
Also she will show up so late for doctor’s appointments that they would make her do another one at a later date.
On and on and on....never on time.
I kind of get around it by offering for ME to drive at all times, at least I could arrive to pick her up and yeah, many times I’ve had to call her frm my cell phone for waiting so long. But if she’s scheduled to pick me up, I might as well get a room for the waiting.
When we’re in church you’ll see her taking out an envelope for the collection, every week, putting in the money and filling in the info via pen. NOTHING is ever done in advance.
For her total lack of organization, do not think she is a slob. She always looks nice, perfect attire, hair nice, make-up perfect.
I been asking around, just out of by now 12 years of Diane Feinstein always being late, if people know anybody always late. Seems we all know somebody like that.
Don’t these people know that to be late, constantly, it’s akin to flipping people the bird, that your life is way busier than yours?
In other words, it’s not just me.
She was supposed to call me Christmas Day. As my granddaughter was gone by then, I was looking to a quiet Christmas mass with Diane Feinstein, giving her a nice gift I bought her, then being at home in peace and quiet..
She didn’t call me Christmas Eve like she promised and Christmas morn I just figured she wasn’t going to mass.
During the mass as she passes my pew to take communion, she pats me on the back. Seems she “fell behind” (ALWAYS....ALWAYS....she “falls behind”) and decided to try and catch me during mass.
Which, by the way, she never gets to until the homily, I can’t imagine walking into mass so late into the ceremony.
I just walked out after mass and went home. I’d had it.
Do not let your heart be troubled. Feinstein did phone me up and apologize profusely, so sorry that she “missed” me.
No I didn’t launch into a screaming rant about people who are always late but go with me, her reputation is far and wide.
Why?
Why can’t someone like her get it in order? She’s now 70 years old. I’m not going to change her.
But it gets old, real old.

I have not been impressed with Kimberly’s choice in men (Gavin Newsom, The Mooch). Since you are a ‘class act’, I’m guessing that no, you wouldn’t have a chance. :-)
Well....obviously Trump being elected is the biggest news from 2017. Hillary losing is the happiest news event for me from last year.
I think the Las Vegas shooting is a big 2017 event because it was so odd, with no reason or purpose,
Finally, the great stock market rise, the defeat of ISIS...the passage of the tax bill.
Trump’s successes in other words.

In any random series, there will be some periods with higher correlations than others. These aren't cycles, these are random events. So, of course, there will be some apparent 'cycles' in a century of stock market data. In reality, though, these 'cycles' simply do not predict the future.
Of course Fox Snooze Sunday had to bring in Porino and all NeverTrumpers to discuss how terrible President Trump was last year. Unwatchable.

We have had listed a super long list of Trump accomplishments,too long to list everything from the wall to energy to 50 CEO heads retiring or quiting to who knows how many arrest warrants out there.
Now Marie Harf BSing her way through another lie. All of a sudden she's worried about deficits. She says; "we can't keep writing these huge checks" after zero doubled the debt,just too good.

Obama showed zero support for the Green Revolution in 2009. Fortunately, Trump is doing the opposite. The only way Iran is going to change is thru regime change. There are no moderate mullahs.
