General rule of thumb, a totalitarian regime will report no more than 1/10 the people they murder.
If they report 2 fatalities, there are at least 20.
Those security people were getting absolutely swarmed by protesters and shut down. There was return fire too. Someone is helping the protesters.
I was thinking the same thing. That’s why they said “about 10.” Five Hundred is “about 10.”
There’s video on twitter where the crowd swarmed government security and took one officer’s pants off. And many unmarked planes left Iran already. Looks like the revolution is already at least half over.
Wikipedia still claims that China milled about 200 students in the 1989, but documents were just released that say they killed over 10,000 of them. then they ran over their bodies hundreds of times to make mush.

Actually, the more recent figure is 12. Actually, their President spoke out in favor the rights of peaceful protest. Some news people feel this may have been a warning against overzealous behavior by police and military.
