President Donald Trump threatened to end U.S. foreign aid for Pakistan Monday in his first tweet of 2018 — a move that comes amid strained ties over America’s decade-long war in Afghanistan.
In an early-morning post, he accused Islamabad of harboring terrorists.
“Our sacrifices should be acknowledged”
The U.S. has repeatedly called on Pakistan to crack down on extremists in its border regions, including militants in the Taliban-linked Haqqani network, and warned in August that it was withholding millions of dollars in military assistance.
“The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools,” Trump wrote. “They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!"
It was not immediately clear what had prompted the president to comment on Pakistan.
However, the New York Times reported Friday that Pakistan had refused to allow U.S. access to a militant captured in October during the rescue operation for American hostage Caitlan Coleman and her family. NBC News could not confirm that report.

Foreign aid is money taken from poor people in rich countries and given to rich people in poor countries.

SAYS it harbors terrorists???? The facts speak for themselves. Where was bin Laden hiding (in plain sight)? Where do the Taliban Nazis go after they raid into Afghanistan? Where are the weapons caches, supply routes, and recruiting stations for the vermin?
There's a good chance that any penny sent to Crackistan in foreign aid ends up buying weapons that are used to kill Americans.
They hid Osama bin Laden for years.
Aid should have ended when we confirmed that.
Once any gov't spending / aid program gets started, it's very rare to see it end. Hopefully this time will be different.
Same with the $300 million per year we give to the Arab terrorist org known as the PA.

Threats and actions are both actions. They have different uses. Both are legitimate.

The Iranians can financially back, only so many entities. That is, if they are even aligned with the Paki’s. Like the Sunni’s and Shia. They’ll unite to kill an American, but once the American’s are gone, they go back to killing each other
Same goes for the Russians and Chinese. They have their own problems and can’t spread themselves too thin.

We should cut off aid and interaction with Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and India. The]at latter wasn’t already is a broken campaign promise since Trump promised to cut off countries that refuse to accept back detainees. None of these three tribal cesspools are allies or defendable. Personally, let India and Pakistan nuke themselves back into the Stone Age, their not far from it anyway.
