Let us be clear on what the “insurance policy” was. The insurance policy was, in totality, the entire fraudulent Russian Conspiracy Narrative; and all of the accompanying –and subsequent– FBI and DOJ collaborative actions that were taken, under the auspices of an FBI counterintelligence operation, in order to generate an entirely false premise. The goal of using the “insurance policy” was to destroy, and possibly impeach, President Trump.

That depends. It appears the OIG wanted to review what the NSD was up to and was rebuffed by Sally Yates. He might want to justify his original position by exposing what the NSD was up to.

Sundance has been right over and over for the past five years, and again, IMHO, he’s exactly right here as well: the use of Clinton-funded campaign opposition research to obtain a FISA court order for surveillance against a political campaign is a crime that dwarfs any before seen in American political history. People will either hang for this or we will cease to operate as a free republic.
It was also designed to try to control him. Comey’s meeting at Trump Tower, where he presented the dossier to Trump, was the conspiracy trying to see if Trump would submit to blackmail and moderate himself to their wishes for one term.
Comey should be arrested.

I have read some speculation that Trump was under surveillance-perhaps outside of the FISA process—and that the DOJ used the pretext of the dossier to basically launder the source of their information, or at least to continue the surveillance under cover of a court approved request.
Also, it is not clear that the development of the dossier was initiated by the Clinton campaign. I think it is just as likely that government insiders manipulated Hillary’s campaign into getting involved with it.
I think it’’s a mistake to see this as Hillary’s project. I am much more interested in what Obama knew about this.
I still don’t understand how you can piece together a conspiracy using a dossier without even naming John McCain.

Of course, this entire Coup d’état could have been flipped upside down if Sessions wasn’t the default Trojan Horse.
I think you’re right that focusing too much on Hillary lets Obama off the hook. But the source of the dossier is important to the extent that the dossier was the source of the information that was used to obtain the FISA warrant. It’s one thing if the FBI on its own came up with enough intelligence to obtain a warrant; it’s quite another if they had to rely on paid-for opposition research. Did they disclose that to the court? Keep in mind, they were denied a warrant in June. Then they get the dossier, then they get the warrant.
In other words, the fact that Hillary paid for the dossier does not let Obama off the hook; it actually makes the Administration that much more culpable for using it to get a warrant.
The original Trojan Horse worked because it fooled everyone.
Sessions has performed this task with ease.
He is the “kill switch” and “shield” against ALL efforts to stop the global socialist deep state conspiracy to eliminate or neutralize Trump!
