OK, how the hell is that a "W" and a "P"? In American Sign Language, that's the sign for the number 9.
Depending on the context, it could also be an "F", not a "P" (like they're implying). This is how you make a "P":
And at any rate, that's now how you make a "W" with the other three fingers. The "W" is made with the ring, middle, and index fingers, the thumb touching the pinkie, like this:
(Just for the sake of argument, let's say you want to sign "OK" in ASL. You literally sign the letters "O" and then "K"):
