Full title: Leaked meeting notes show how panicked Iranian regime considered stopping deadly protests: 'God help us'
EXCLUSIVE A leaked report provided to Fox News shows how Irans Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met with political leaders and heads of the country's security forces to discuss how to tamp down on the deadly nationwide protests.
The report covered several meetings up to December 31 and was provided to the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) from what it said were high level sources from within the regime.
The meeting notes, which have been translated into English from Farsi, said the unrest has hurt every sector of the country's economy and threatens the regimes security. The first step, therefore, is to find a way out of this situation.
The report added, Religious leaders and the leadership must come to the scene as soon as possible and prevent the situation (from) deteriorating further. It continued, God help us, this is a very complex situation and is different from previous occasions.
As the protests continue to spread, the total number dead rose Monday to at least 13, including a police officer shot and killed with a hunting rifle in the central city of Najafabad.

fake deep state news
Ah, so the people have discovered their secret weapon. No government can endure a wholesale work stoppage by the governed. Killing the people only hastens the nation’s collapse.
Casualties are probably much higher if the government is admitting 12.
And the lack of internet coverage means that rumors will rule; and that will never be good for a tyrannical regime.
In 2009 the demonstrations were localized enough to isolate and stamp out. That doesn't appear to be the case this time. That may be what "different from previous occasions" is referring to. Pure speculation, though.
There is a pot of gold at the end of this revolution. The street wants their cut.
That’s pretty much what it sounds like to me also and I’d bet Khamenei is more than a little concerned about his future.
I still say Hussein should go to Iran and tell the Persian peeps to strop getting all oui-oui’d up.

Let me know when they start chanting “Death to Islam”
Question is whether & who is organizing this. A good revolution is long planned and appears spontaneous & undirected.
The turbanned rats are leaving the sinking ship.

There have been anti-islamic chants: “We are Persians, we don’t worship an Arab (Mohammad), and lots against the clerics and the islamic form of government.”
Thanks...Looks like some rat leaders are getting nervous.
Could be historic..... but do you know what happened to the white truck CNN was reporting on
“who is organizing this”
My guess is that it is coordinated across several countries, notably us, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
There are not that many hardcore regime thugs - Total Republican Guards (IRGC) headcount is just 125K, in a country of 80 million - and there is a relatively tiny ruling clique. In fact, a few key people are the heart of the regime, like the 78 year old cancer-ridden Supreme Leader, and the Commanding General of the IRGC (Sulemani).
Just a couple of well placed bullets (into Khamenei and Sulemani) will likely send them all scurrying.
They have a functioning electoral system and Government - only the clerics choose who is allowed to run for office. Just remove the clerics and allow anyone to run, and it would be dramatically better.
Yep...When the Shah supported by the US was unseated in the ‘79 revolution Iran was becoming westernized but Ayatollah Khomeini put a screeching halt to that.
Silly, I know. But I can certainly imagine Trump doing something audacious like that.
