I don’t buy the cause and effect of Trump’s UN speech and what’s happening now. Empty stomachs are a great motivation.
It is astonishing to me that Leftists, here and around the world (but ESPECIALLY here in the USA) are quick to condemn any vocal support for the anti-government protests in Iran.
This is a country that took our Embassy and held Americans hostage for 444 days.
This is a country that has chanted in the streets for decades “Death To America”.
This is a country that is directly responsible for the deaths of Americans in countries from Iraq to Lebanon.
We have a payment due to them. Any patriotic American should feel this way about their government, and provide support for any internal elements that oppose that government.
It is most instructive to see which anti-American cockroaches are caught in the open when this light plays on them.
Whatever else one may say about President Trump, his gut instincts here are demonstrably spot-on. There's just no denying it.
I had hopes in 2009 that Iran was having their "Berlin wall" moment and that was quickly dashed by the Obama Administration. And this is why we see people like the failed Susan Rice coming out and urging PDJT to remain silent: They don't want their failure on Iran fully exposed.
President Trump's outspokenness here may be what finally pushes the mullah's out and liberates the good people of Iran. Keeping my fingers crossed.
The Palestinian leader finished his statement in English, turning to Trump and telling him “now, Mr. President, with you, we have hope.” Trump responded with an optimistic message of his own.
“We’ll start a process which hopefully will lead to peace,” Trump said. “Over the course of my lifetime, I’ve always heard that perhaps the toughest deal to make is the deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Let’s see if we can prove them wrong, okay?”
Later, in brief remarks before a working lunch with the Palestinian delegation, Trump said that a peace deal would be “frankly, maybe not as difficult as people have thought over the years.”
“We need two willing parties. We believe Israel is willing. We believe you’re willing. And if you are willing, we are going to make a deal,” he said.

It depends. Things CAN get worse. The only scenario where things get better is if the Iranians hang the mullahs and convert to Christianity
