Trump Zeroes In on Abedin, Comey; Says DOJ Should 'Act'

President Trump on Tuesday seemingly called for the Justice Department to look into Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s former aide, and James Comey, former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

“Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aid, Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols,” he wrote on Twitter. “She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents. Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others.”

The comments come after a report published Monday by the Daily Caller said Abedin forwarded State Department emails, including passwords to government systems, to her private email account on Yahoo before it was hacked. Their analysis was based on emails obtained by Judicial Watch as part of a lawsuit.

Abedin, the top aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, used her insecure personal email provider to conduct sensitive work. This guarantees that an account with high-level correspondence in Clinton’s State Department was impacted by one or more of a series of breaches — at least one of which was perpetrated by a “state-sponsored actor.”

The U.S. later charged Russian intelligence agent Igor Sushchin with hacking 500 million Yahoo email accounts. The initial hack occurred in 2014 and allowed his associates to access accounts into 2015 and 2016 by using forged cookies. Sushchin also worked for the Russian investment bank Renaissance Capital, which paid former President Bill Clinton $500,000 for a June 2010 speech in Moscow.

A separate hack in 2013 compromised three billion accounts across multiple Yahoo properties, and the culprit is still unclear. “All Yahoo user accounts were affected by the August 2013 theft,” the company said in a statement. (DC)

According to an FBI report, Abedin regularly forward government emails to her Yahoo account.

“She would use these accounts if her (State) account was down or if she needed to print an email or document. Abedin further explained that it was difficult to print from the DoS system so she routinely forwarded emails to her non-DoS accounts so she could more easily print,” the report states.

In August 2009, the emails forwarded to her private account included one that contained password information for her government laptop.

Comey said in 2016 that emails of Clinton associated had been compromised.

“We do assess that hostile actors gained access to the private email accounts of individuals with whom Secretary Clinton was in regular contact from her private account,” he said.

Deep State Justice Dept must finally act?

PDJT, all you need to do is consult a few Freepers here who will set you straight. Sessions IS on top of it all, and is operating in stealth mode. Just so you know.

Well, if he did, we wouldn’t know it. The tweet might be something he goes to in order to publicly shame someone into doing the right thing, after much vain effort to persuade.

Idle hands do the devil’s work, but vice versa for God’s — the more that these agencies are busied up doing the right thing, the less they can drum trouble up for Donald.

I think she’d martyr herself for Hillary.

This is smart of Trump. Going after Hillary, while 100% justified, is politically suicidal...unless you get her top aide to flip on her.

I hope like hell you’re right, but this situation is getting well out of hand. I was initially thinking that the President was signalling his desire for justice by the DOJ, but either Sessions is too gutless or stupid to move forward with investigations.

Yeah but really, c'mon...

What were Huma's and P.I.A.P.S. intentions?

Sessions is the best backstop I’ve seen since Yogi Berra. Not the hitting part of Berra, just the blocking thing.

Mr. President, I sure hope that you are not going to hold your breath waiting for Jeff Sessions to take any action on Comey or Abadin. Jeff Sessions has been a huge disappointment especially on the big things, like the couruption of the previous administration.

You’re correct. Justice answers to him. It’s easy to float what the department should do vs mandating them to do it or else. Trump likes to play that game of stirring the pot for the base while all the while knowing he really hasn’t “ordered” them to do anything or cleaned house.

President Trump calls on ‘Deep State’ DOJ to go after Comey, Clinton aide Abedin!

President Trump went after “Crooked” Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin on Tuesday, appearing to call on the “Deep State” Justice Department to look at potential security issues in her handling of classified material after a recent email dump.

“Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols. She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents. Remember sailor’s pictures on the submarine? Jail!” Trump tweeted early Tuesday. “Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others.”

Trump is purposely running the steam engine to a dangerous over-pressure situation. He wants it to blow. He wants the overt criminal lawlessness to be so egregious that any normal, rationale person will cry "enough"!

Then he will have his political momentum sufficient to act. This is theater of the highest order; one that will be studied in history books for generations to come.

Trump Zeroes In on Abedin, Comey; Says DOJ Should 'Act'

OK so it's his DOJ. He said in that New York Times interview that he can do anything he wants with the Justice Department. So why is Trump tweeting about it instead of telling it to act?
