Trump Zeroes In on Abedin, Comey; Says DOJ Should 'Act'

President Trump on Tuesday seemingly called for the Justice Department to look into Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s former aide, and James Comey, former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

“Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aid, Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols,” he wrote on Twitter. “She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents. Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others.”

Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aid, Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols. She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents. Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 2, 2018

The comments come after a report published Monday by the Daily Caller said Abedin forwarded State Department emails, including passwords to government systems, to her private email account on Yahoo before it was hacked. Their analysis was based on emails obtained by Judicial Watch as part of a lawsuit.

Abedin, the top aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, used her insecure personal email provider to conduct sensitive work. This guarantees that an account with high-level correspondence in Clinton’s State Department was impacted by one or more of a series of breaches — at least one of which was perpetrated by a “state-sponsored actor.”

The U.S. later charged Russian intelligence agent Igor Sushchin with hacking 500 million Yahoo email accounts. The initial hack occurred in 2014 and allowed his associates to access accounts into 2015 and 2016 by using forged cookies. Sushchin also worked for the Russian investment bank Renaissance Capital, which paid former President Bill Clinton $500,000 for a June 2010 speech in Moscow.

A separate hack in 2013 compromised three billion accounts across multiple Yahoo properties, and the culprit is still unclear. “All Yahoo user accounts were affected by the August 2013 theft,” the company said in a statement. (DC)

According to an FBI report, Abedin regularly forward government emails to her Yahoo account.

“She would use these accounts if her (State) account was down or if she needed to print an email or document. Abedin further explained that it was difficult to print from the DoS system so she routinely forwarded emails to her non-DoS accounts so she could more easily print,” the report states.

In August 2009, the emails forwarded to her private account included one that contained password information for her government laptop.

Comey said in 2016 that emails of Clinton associated had been compromised.

“We do assess that hostile actors gained access to the private email accounts of individuals with whom Secretary Clinton was in regular contact from her private account,” he said.

So, does Huma have an ankle bracelet, too?

Arrest her, then put the pressure on her and make her sing like a Canary.

Time for President Trump to clean up the DOJ. Give Sessions one day to indite this creep. Then order Sessions to set up another Special Counsel. Too much garbage in the DOJ that need cleaning.

I hope that this is the opening salvo....

I don’t want to jump on the Rip van Sessions bandwagon just yet, though it is tempting. I would expect some action after the OIG’s Report and another OIG Report for the State Department sometime in the next month or so.

We’ve been hearing a great deal about the DOJ report that is forthcoming, I would expect one from the State Dept too.

If there isn’t any action by April, I would say it’s time to dump Sessions.

Actually, he’s been forced to govern by EO - to get around AG Jazzy Jeff - like fn’ zero did. He’s realizing he’s gonna have to go hard-core Alinksy on people on ‘our side’ because the left is nuking us with radicals’ rules, note AL’s ‘freeze, polarize target’ and ‘make the other side live up to their own rules’.

This is theater of the highest order; one that will be studied in history books for generations to come.

Liberals write the history books, define the curriculum, and teach the courses. They will cast him as a failure no matter what he does.

Sessions will act diligently. He has a big pile of get-out-of-jail-free cards to give away, he already distributes them like candies to Lois Lerner and the IRS thugs.

Someone described Trump as a lightening rod, he takes all the hits. Ask, what is Rick Perry doing, what is Scott Pruitt doing, what is Betsey DeVos doing, what is Jeff Sessions doing? They are quietly doing what then need to without getting hit by lightening themselves.

Any case against the “deep state” and HRC must be absolutely overwhelming, and air tight. It will never fly otherwise. Remember Trump said a storm is coming, when all the i’s get dotted and all the t’s crossed we might see something. Until then I for one am willing to be patient.

For those who can’t understand why he does this (i.e. who don’t get strategery), it’s simple: Stimulus and Response. Trump’s tweets are the stimulus and the public response comes via the media. All these statements via Twitter are designed to inform the public (45 million at a time) about what will be coming in the future to raise awareness and minimize shock and awe. The last thing Trump or the nation needs is an economic panic, thousands of points drop in the stock market, etc when the OIG recommendations come out later this month and indictments and prosecutions ensue.

All will be taken are of, but nice and gentle - not the rambunctious damn the torpedos approach that would have unintended consequences.

People need to be patient. Can’t do this one carelessly.

Scott Adams says Trump was originally going to go into theater, then went in to finance. At any rate he’s the lightening rod and takes all the hits, distracts the enemies, so his people can get their jobs done.

This is to expose all of the immunity agreements that were made back then. All of the snakes essentially pardoning themselves.

People feeling the legal squeeze on a bad thing they’ve done, and kept hidden for some time, often make critical mistakes. Trump gives a fish time to swallow the bait before setting the hook. Then it’s dinner.

THAT must change very soon. THAT is another huge swamp.

But if you wait too long, the fish will steal your bait and leave you with an empty hook. ;)

“Sessions IS the PROBLEM.”

Don’t be so sure. This all has to be coordinated with the 2018 midterms. Too early and it cannot be used against Democrats. It’s all a timing issue. We want jail time for Hillary and company to hit right around October 15th.

The day after the election Huma was seen in the street by herself crying. Was she crying because Hillary lost or crying because she was crapping her pants thinking she was going to jail? What I think is they did all this stuff because they thought the fix was in: Hitlery would be next POTUS and they would get away with it, but then this guy Donald Trump came out of nowhere. The problem now is nothing is being done about these crooks. Why?
