384 potential votes in the wrong district, if you count the ones who didn’t actually vote.

Nice.

In 2018. Glad technology is helping.

Seems like a non partisan issue at least somewhat since the R won.

I know nothing of VA politics.

Having lived in the Arlington area for 3.5 years, I would offer this observation of voter registration.

There are a fair sum of people who live in five counties that attach to the DC job market: Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Alexandra, and Prince William. People move on a continual basis. They hunt for the better school district, the better homes, the lesser property tax district, and so on. I worked with some woman who had moved three times in a decade, and each time...moved to a new county. The voter rolls are simply screwed up and unless they dumped them after each election and started fresh...the problem is never going to get fixed.

Adding to the mess is the fact that you have probably three thousand people who live in Arlington but only from Monday morning to Friday afternoon, and then they get onto a plane and fly ‘home’. They camp out in the region for their job. It would not take much for these people to get registered in Arlington, but also be registered in another state. You have the same issue brewing to some degree in DC, where a fair sum of people also fly home on weekends.
