What? Is this for real? I remember pumping our own gas back in 1969.

Lighting up their joints and spilling gas on themselves don’t mix.

The idea they need to waste taxpayer dollars on a bill to allow them to pump gas is insane.

Why limit the county population to 40k? What does population have to do with it?

Oh dear, that couldn’t be done today...the anti reglious jerks would protest the gas station’s headquarters...

The stupid thing about this is that 75% of Oregonians live an hour from the Washington border. I live in Oregon and work in Washington and pump my gas all of the time.

>>>I really don’t remember the last time I had an attendant pump gas into the car for me. It’s been a long time.

Last time I had someone pump my gas for me was in May of 2013...when I was in OREGON... :-)

But, the first time I was there years ago, I had a similar experience as another FReeper. I tried pumping my own gas and got "in trouble." Really felt odd having someone pump gas for me. Even after many trips there...I still can't get used to it.

The more populous counties vote Democrat.
36 counties in Oregon.
18 have populations larger than 40k.
6 of the 18 voted for Hillary. (Top 4 voted for Hillary: they reached to get Lincoln County).
Only 2 of 18 counties smaller than 40k voted for Hillary: Clatsop and Hood River.

That’s the way it started in California. 2 different islands. Self service and full service. Now they’re all self service. You can’t find a station that has actual gas attendants.

Back to full service and self service Pricing.

I grew up in NJ and didn’t know how to pump my own gas until I was in my twenties.

Overall, I much prefer to pump my own with 2 exceptions: 1) when it is very cold out and 2) when I am dressed for a formal occasion.

I was a teen when I had a job filling cars. Another job teens can’t do today!! Checking oil, washing windows and selling tires...I did it at Gasland when I was 14.

I can’t believe what’s happened to my nation. It boggles the mind. We used to spill gas filling the lawnmower or our little minicycles when I was a kid. We didn’t bathe in it of course, LOL.

Heck, we used to use gasoline for cleaning engine parts and such, when were working on our go-carts, mini-bikes, and motorcycles...

Four things most Pussified Liberals can’t do.

1. Pump their own Gas.

2. Change a Flat Tire.

3. Drive a Car with a Stick Shift.

4. Check the Coolant and Oil levels in their Car.

I worked at my Fathers FLYING A Gas Station when I was a Kid.

He didn’t believe in the concept of paying his Children an Allowance. Ask him for money, he looks up at the Roof over my Head.

Every other Saturday, up at 6:30 AM, work all day, home at 10:30 PM. Sometimes he let me off early, 7:00 PM.

Did that routine for a few years.

I was really surprised by the fact I couldn’t pump my own gas in Oregon. My Lib sister said it was so that kids in Oregon would have part-time jobs to do. So, what has changed??

"Regular or High-Test, Señor?

I can think of four full service gas stations/pumps in my area in MA.

Always busy too.

More than one doper will light up as they are pumping gas.

It's what the legislators are hoping will happen, so they can roll back this legislation.

People afraid to pump their own gas? wow

Like you say, they will probably not survive even mildly-difficult situations.

If and when there's an apocalypse, they'll last what? Two weeks?

On our way to Ft Lewis in 1984 we stopped in OR for gas. Had the pump running when attendant came running and screaming for me to “Stop!”. Explained there was a $500 fine for him and me if I pumped my own gas. I thought he was joking...
