Try reducing spending.

These elected criminals just gave themselves a raise courtesy of governor moonbeam II, who gave himself a raise too.

We need a Legislative "Prop 13!"

This most incompetent legislature in the country isn't about to fix itself!

What are they gonna do? Print money? Increase budget deficits?
California still has yearly budgets, right?
Beuler...?
Or should that be, Jesus...?
Jose...?
No, wait... Pendejo...?

They could increase state taxes to make up for the reduction in federal taxes...

I know that Idaho has a panhandle but in your post you mentioned Washington state had one also so I was just curious as to where it would have been.

I don’t know about that, but I know for a fact that both Washington DC and Washington State have panhandlers.

Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon plans to introduce legislation allowing people to make a donation to the state in lieu of income taxes. That would allow them to claim the federal charitable deduction, at least partially getting around the change.

If that doesn't work, try doubling the "earned income credit," for the indolent who never earned a cent in their lives (that may define many retired dumb as rocks legislators.

There are going to be maybe 1-2 Republicans reelected to the house in 2018 in CA, the rest will lose. That’s how badly Trump screwed over this state with his tax INCREASE.

Nobody in their right mind would vote for a Republican in this state after Trump just increased our taxes.

For over 100 years State and Local taxes paid were exempt from Federal Taxation.
It was a really dumb idea to change that and it will hurt Republicans in 2018.

One thing that the First Rapist (Clinton) did that seems to be permanent was taxing Social Security checks, around 1992. Adding insult to injury, I suspect that elected criminals' federal retirement checks are not similarly taxed.

I fume every time I remember that.

So, yes, it is just not a dumb idea, it compounds.

Just so. I made the same point to Mariner. In your example, B is not funding a sanctuary state run by communists, A doesn’t care that he is because he can shift that cost to the fed side of the ledger.

Not positive but I believe it also includes property taxes and sales taxes in the mix for those who itemize.

Like we can expect any Republicans being elected from California?

Get real, fella! The Republican Party in California is to the point of being able to meet in a phone booth, if there were any left in that state!

Your economy is shot. You are inviting in millions of illegals in to enjoy your liberal welfare. Anyone staying in that state that can move is shooting themselves in their economic foot.

Carry your own “white man’s burden”.

“Like we can expect any Republicans being elected from California?”

While you have not identified your state in your profile, there’s better than a 50-50 chance that CA, with 14, has more Republican House members than your state.

“Your economy is shot. “

California leads the nation in both per capita income and net income. It also leads the nation in GDP growth.

You’d do well to research facts before emoting. You don’t want folks to think you’re ignorant.

I lived in California several times in my life. The fact that you have such a large number of representatives is irrelevant.

When you compare your “robust” economy to your unfounded mandates and excessive welfare, your economy pales.

But, keep on living the lie.
