"It's true that there is more to Obamacare than the mandate."

There's more to a building than its foundation but, rest assured, if you remove the foundation the building will crumble.

IMHO the best way to deal with ObamaCare is to grant a waiver form that allows people to buy any insurance program they feel feel meets their needs.

In order to purchase this plan , they must be walked through the ObamaCare option and have the wonderfulness of ObamaCare expalained to them in great detail so they can appreciate the value they are getting for their $1000 - $15000 per month premiums and $7500 deductible - now that they are paying the full price of the coverage and are not having the true cost of the coverage subsidized or hidden by the back door transfer of government money to insurance companies to cover the red ink, hide the true cost of the system from taxpayers and to guarantee profits to insurance companies.

This should expose the insanity of the system and absurdity of the ObamaCare scam to all Americans on an annual basis and act as a warning to those who think there is a free lunch because lying politicians tell them there is.

Especially for young people...

Especially for old people, such as pregnancy coverage for women who haven't had their cycle for thirty years.

Sooner or later, Congress will begin offering ideas to meet this demand.

Congress doesn't need to be in the business of 'selling' health insurance.

Republicans do not want to end ObamaCare, after all they helped pass it.

IN the dark of night the Oregon legislature passed an initiative for the citizens to vote on, new taxes on health care premiums, hospitals and insurance companies!
The mail in ballots are due January 23, and I don’t even have my ballot yet. Guess who is for more taxes? The SEIU and other unions.

I have long though that the best way to ditch Obamacare was little by little. Eventually you have an empty shell with none of the horrible aspects of the law.

"This reality will create a demand for a variety of insurance options to meet a variety of needs. Some people will prefer more comprehensive coverage and higher premiums. Others will opt for less coverage and lower premiums. All will be covered against catastrophic events but day-to-day coverage will vary."

-----------------------------------------

Sorry Scott R....as long as the "EHB's" ("Essential Health Benefits") mandates remain you won't get to have "a variety of insurance options", and removing the individual mandate in 2019 will cause rates to skyrocket even more. Health insurance won't be affordable for my family until I can buy an HSA type high-deducatable policy that covers NOTHING under $5K.

Why are the Feds deciding what kind of healthcare we should have and how we receive it?
