Raw milk is not safe either unless cows are regularly tested. I would and have drank raw milk from cows we had since we only had a couple and knew how they were kept. If someone is running a dairy operation selling raw milk I would not touch that- too easy for cows to get ill or milk to get contaminated in handling. I only drink raw milk if I milk the cow or someone I trust does. Never would I buy raw milk from a farmer’s market or similar. That is just me.

Organic Pastures in CA is so overly tested I trust them implicitly. We have been drinking their raw milk for 6 years now. It’s real live food with its own enzymes and good bacteria and it tastes fantastic. A true natural healthy food. I cannot digest pasteurized milk, cream, or ice cream. No problem with real milk which comes with all you need to digest it. Yum.

agree with you -- It's really about the handling processes and procedures with dairy. The milking parlor, equipment, and facilities must be extremely clean to avoid contamination. No plastics, stainless only, wash before and after.

like you, I milked for years and would not buy from others unless I personally observed their operation and handling procedures. doing it properly is expensive and time consuming.

Would microwaving raw milk make it safe?
