Here's who will join Trump at Camp David this weekend to plan the 2018 GOP agenda

President Donald Trump heads to Camp David this weekend to discuss 2018 GOP legislative priorities with Republican members of Congress and White House officials. Infrastructure, immigration and welfare reform are among the issues the officials will likely discuss.

President Donald Trump will be at the Camp David retreat this weekend where he will meet with top officials in his administration and Congress to plan out the upcoming year.

"We're going to Camp David with a lot of the great Republican senators and we're making America great again," the president said as he left the White House.

On Friday, the White House said a group of 24 people will attend the "small-group discussion" on the Republican legislative priorities for 2018.

"These priorities will include: ensuring continued economic growth, national security, promoting responsible immigration reform, funding our troops, rebuilding our nation's crumbling infrastructure, the FY19 budget, welfare reform, the opioid crisis, healthcare, the 2018 elections and confirming the President's qualified nominees," the White House press office said in a statement.

Earlier Friday, White House chief economic advisor Gary Cohn said officials will decide whether a massive infrastructure package or welfare reform will come next. Both could happen simultaneously, he told CNBC.

Senate Republicans would need to use budget reconciliation rules, which require only a simple majority vote, to pass welfare reform. The Senate GOP majority just went to 51 seats from 52 seats, and they would need to get to 60 votes to overcome a likely Democratic filibuster and make possible changes to social safety net programs. Congress could next use budget reconciliation for the fiscal year 2019 budget, likely later this year.

I like Mercedes Schlapp. Didn’t know she got that gig. I think probably it’s because she and her husband Matt have been good Trump supporters for a while. I like what I have heard come out of their mouths since before the election.

Even with the Wall happening, DACA is going to be a problem for President Trump from conservatives and from all who, just, want the present illegal immigration laws to be fully enforced! How about, actually, putting an end to judicial activism, too? Term limits and recall for each and every level of politician and judge would help!

Mitch McConnell, Ryan, Cornyn, McCarthy, Cohn, Kelly.

A real dream team there. The only one I trust wholeheartedly, aside from Trump, is Miller.

Trump WILL build the wall.

He also needs to start a 2018 gofundme page for the Wall for additional underwriting funding for the wall.

It's not a matter of if the Wall will be built, but when it will be built.

People forget Trump is a builder. He builds things. Building a Wall has been in his wheel house for decades. Trump built Manhattan skyscrapers, he will know how to build the Wall. The media continues to underestimate Trump which he uses to his advantage.

Looks like the annual staff planning meeting. Standard business procedure. The previous year’s financials are all in, the decks are cleared and a new year is at hand.

We always did our annual plan starting in August and massaged it until just before Thanksgiving then the staffers would give up their holidays to run it a few more times, smooth the rough edges and get it ready to launch and for press releases and analyst meetings.

Also notice how the leaks dried up after the remodel of the WH and the 17 day absence by the President during that time?

Don’t you love that kind of meeting?

The ones I hated were the dithering ones where you wondered why the CEO and COO were getting paid at all.
