Altera flew off right after I posted earlier. She was there for almost an hour though. I’ve had the Dale Hollow cam up for a bit, listening to strange noises around the lake. Whatever they are, the eagles aren’t paying any attention to them.

Yep, we’ll have birdies galore to watch before long. It looks like Raimis and Mildina, in Latvia, will give it a good shot this year since she’s old enough now. They’ve been busy getting the nest ready.

UGH! Woke up early again??? Rotten luck! And you have to get up early tomorrow.

We’ll finally get a break from the cold starting tomorrow though it won’t be all that warm. High in the 40s but we’ll have wind chills in the 30s. Did you notice the wind at OKC when you checked the cam? The same front is coming through here tomorrow night and there’s that nasty wind ahead of it.
The good thing is we’ll get rain with it tomorrow night and Monday.

Sorry you will have more bad weather even as the temperature gets a bit warmer. Know you have to be good and tired of it by now. It was in the 60s here today and partly cloudy.

I need to try to remember to check on the Latvian nest later tonight. I get there and there’s nothing to see even if I run the video back. I’ll be glad when the nights aren’t so darn long over there. LOL!

If we just didn’t have to deal with the wind, it wouldn’t be so bad. We need the rain so no complaints there. BUT, they say it will start as a wintry mix tomorrow night. It’ll change to rain Monday morning though.

They also say we’ll get to enjoy highs around 60 Wed. and Thurs. and that’s something to look forward to.

Raimis and Mildina haven’t at their nest regularly so it can be hard to catch them there. The weather’s been crummy. They showed up in the wee hours our time last night (late in the morning their time) and weren’t happy a stranger had been on the nest earlier. That one showed up not long after sunrise.

It sure WILL be nice when the nights aren’t so long over there. We have a while yet since they’re so far north.
