Sunday on ABCs This Week, Sen Tom Cotton (R-AR) said any deal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy would have to include funding the border wall, ending chain migration, and ending the diversity lottery.

12) No visa lottery or visa overstays
i think i like it!!
I really trust the democrats not to renege on any deal we make here. that was sarcasm btw.
IMO, NO citizenship for dreamers.
Add strictly limited to those already signed up and I would sign on to that.
It will be interesting to see what kind of deal the House and Senate strike.
Deport them all, forcibly. No amnesty, not now, not ever.
Build the wall - build it tall, build it strong. Fortify it like the castles of old; turrets and tank traps, roving patrols with attack helicopters.
At least we have one Republican Senator on our side.
Graham, Hatch, Hoeven, Murkowsky, Alexander, Corker, Heller, Flake, Rubio and McCain are on the side of illegal aliens and their employers.
You forgot landmines.
Kick ‘em ALL out!
As in .............ALL OF THEM!
Otherwise, ‘d’s winn EVERY SINGLE ELECTION from then on and the country is SCREEWED.
Thirty years ago, in 1986 it was, “Mr. President, sign-off on a general amnesty and we will secure the border. And that’s a promise, you have our word.”
In 2017, it should be, “Give us comprehensive border security, Congress—everything from the wall to employer verification to ending `birth-right’ citizenship—and as soon as the border is secure we will consider legalizing DACA.
Until that is done, a limited amnesty is taken under advisement—we promise. Our word is our bond.”
If they don’t like it, the DACAns go go home and wait in line like everyone else. There it is, esses.
We’ll get DACA shoved down our throats, followed by exhortations to keep voting Republican because, well, just because.
He (and I) know deep down that a large majority of these Dreamers want to continuously sponge off the system and bring in their relatives and friends. And the Democrats simply see them as votes to stay in power, not as people who want to live better lives.
So many of these Dreamers will go back to where their parents came home. A small percentage will learn English and play by the rules, and I have no problem with legalizing them just as long as the list I submitted is implemented beforehand.
“I really trust the democrats not to renege on any deal we make here. that was sarcasm btw.”
Wall should be built first so Democrats cannot renege.
More definitively no anchor babies. Single unwed mother illegal alien, no citizenship. Father and Mother illegal aliens no citizenship. Parents with greencarts -- provisional citizenship. Their also needs to be some well thought out plan on limiting dual citizenship. Perhaps as simple as mandated that foreign passport holders with U.S citizenship have that citizenship noted in their passports.
If Trump signs any bill that includes DACA or anything like it, no matter what other junk he thinks he’ll get in any “negotiation”, particularly funding for a phony 10 year wall project, then he can kiss his ass goodbye because he’ll never win another election. Just look what happened in Alabama with the Moore fiasco. Trump can blame Steve Bannon all he wants, but Trump allowed himself to be played like a fiddle by the Turtle. I know the GOPe is fine with watching Trump twist in the wind, but will Trump allow himself to be skunked like Pappy Bush and his “No New Taxes” lie? We’ll see...
We hold the better cards, it’s just a matter of exploiting that.
Re #9, that’s the problem with DACA, they’ll whine that then the illegal parents must get included. Ridiculous.
