A prominent donor to the Democratic Party says she is considering withdrawing support for senators who urged their colleague Al Franken to resign after he was accused of sexual misconduct.
The donor, Susie Tompkins Buell, has been one of the Democratic Partys most generous supporters for decades. In particular, she has been a champion of female politicians, including Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Maria Cantwell of Washington.
Last month, those senators were among the dozens who called for Franken to resign from the Senate after at least six women accused him of sexual harassment or misconduct, such as forcible kissing and groping.

Go Vegas Golden Knights! 58 points in the standings, baby!
“The donor, Susie Tompkins Buell, has been one of the Democratic Partys most generous supporters for decades. In particular, she has been a champion of female politicians, including Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Maria Cantwell of Washington.”
Sounds like Gillibrand, Fauxcahontas, and Cantwell have their rear ends in a clamp—the “#MeToo” gals squeezing from one side and mega donor, Frankenphile advocate Buell from the other.
I love it.
“I love it.”
What’s not to love?
Imagine the news if this were "a prominent donor to the Republican Party."
Its my bet that this garbage story is an attempt to scrub the damning earlier story about her funding a half-million dollars for Trump accusers.
Just wait, in one month, google her name, and all you will told of is this story about her support of Franken, and NOTHING about her suborning perjury to slime Donald Trump.
Well, she obviously has the means to skew the news in favor of her interests.
Your bet is safe.
As for the Vegas Golden Knights, they have taken full advantage of the dynamics in the expansion draft. They acquired a whole bunch of decent players, played them on the fact that they were discarded, and made them all hungry to play and prove themselves.
As a result, they work harder with more motivation than most every other team in the NHL. Gallant brought this out of them, and he can now minimize each skater's time on the ice as if he has the deepest bench in all of sports. Everyone contributes. Furthermore, everyone FIGHTS to contribute. It makes for a productive team.
Frankly, I'm shocked that the article author didn't make her a Republican and make the politician Roy Moore.
Virtue signaling convinces the left of its own unimpeachable morals. When push comes to shove, it rejects guilt for any of its wrongdoing and attributes such allegations to conspiracy theories. -- How Democrats Suppressed the #MeToo Movement in the Party | FrontPage | April 27, 2018 | Daniel Greenfield
