An elite SAS soldier cut off an ISIS fighter's head with a spade after he ran out of ammunition during a bloody six-hour battle, it was claimed.
After killing the jihadist, the British sergeant used the enemy's gun to kill more militants.
The brutal battle is said to have occurred six weeks ago in war-torn Afghanistan.
The British special forces unit was ambushed by ISIS gunmen and took refuge in a farm where the soldiers fended off the insurgents with their rifles and anything at hand, it was reported.

That’s what’s called JOB WELL DONE!
I knew the SAS is badass, but this takes it to a new level.
Hire him for head of our SS Trump detail!!!
Can’t say what’s required
None knows what they’ll need
They’re soft and they’re tired
Already they bleed
Absolutely, that’s how us infanteers roll.
It’s funny how many folks think soldiers are just dumb, but some of the brightest guys I’ve met came from my former unit.
I’m so a big fan of the kukri, so much though that I continue to carry it even after my time in.
I love that movie!
Did you write that?
It instantly brought Lee Rigby to mind.
I know Eleanor.
Never heard of Lee.
Yeah, I don’t see the problem in this set of incidents. Well, he did run out of jihadists too soon.
The pair drove their car at Fusilier Rigby before attacking him with knives and attempting to decapitate him. The soldier, a father of one from Middleton, Greater Manchester, died of multiple cut and stab wounds after the attack on 22 May.
Already they bleed
Some of the jihadists ran away (alive) when US Army showed up with Apaches and a Chinook.
So there's a bit of a problem there ...
OTOH, the good guys got a nice comfy chopper ride back to base.
I had no idea.
I remember the incident but missed the soldier’s name entirely.
Much of the world committing suicide.
I almost didn’t tell you. It’s just so sad.
I date back to the Huey days. I loved riding in those things.
