Obamas criticized for lavish library plans, including 'test kitchen'

In their effort to break the mold, the planners of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago are taking heat for some less-than-lofty features in the sprawling complex.

Namely, a “test kitchen.”

Reports first surfaced last fall that the monument to the first black president’s legacy was taking on an activity-center vibe. There would be a museum – but also a basketball court, possibly a room for yoga classes, and a test kitchen to teach visitors “about the full production cycle of nutritious food.”

The Founders saw fit to have a president serve four or eight years.

This creep is extending his presidency into eternity.

Always announcing “Plans to Change The World” .....and so on.

He had his chance ....he flopped. Too bad.

Same with the Clintons......they clawed their way to the top and wont let go.

About the Clinton Library, I have family in Little Rock so on various trips I would drive by and watch its progress. First trip was lots of construction. As were a few other trips. Until a number of years ago there was this bridge that crossed the river, (as the library sits on the bank of a river), and it was blocked off and was a real eye sore. They have since opened it up as a walking bridge to extra parking across the river. I called it "The Bridge to Nowhere."

What a metaphor. But, the library still looks like a fancy double-wide teetering on the river bank.

Had to leave out the books or there wouldn’t be any room left for that ego. What the hell, everything important in that train wreck of an administration has already been shredded anyway.

How many high school kids will be bored to tears touring the library during the next 50 years?

Bathhouse Barry: “I want to build a shrine to my own bad @ss!”

Gag me and major barf alert-—this is as narcissistic as the things ancient Egyptian pharoahs did.

A basketball court. Good! Lots of graffiti to follow. Maybe they’ll graffiti every single building. Seems appropriate.
