Global payment network company Visa said Monday it will strengthen contributions to employees' 401(k) savings plans, as a result of the recently passed Republican tax law.

"Tax reform in the United States will strengthen Visa's competitive position globally and create new opportunities for Visa to invest in our business," the company said in a statement. "With the additional 401(k) match, Visa's U.S. employees will enjoy a sustained benefit, consistent with the role they will play in building our business."

The company said it will increase its 401(k) match up to 5 percent of salary. Currently, it contributes $2 for every $1 an employee contributes, up to 3 percent of base pay, the statement said.

You beat me to it. It is going to be painful watching all of the Progressives try to ignore this or not give The Donald the credit.

Those evil corporations are giving large portions of this reduced tax rate to their undeserving and greedy capitalistic employees. Do they not know all money is the property of the state to be spent for the greater good! It is absurd that an employee should be paid his worth rather than contribute to the state for those in greater need. This has worked so well in Zimbabwe and Venezuela and the USSR and every damn place social Marxism has been tried. /S

Go President Trump. Winning is good!

ps
Lived and worked in Venezuela pre Chavez. Lovely nation with the highest standard of living in South America at that time. The government was corrupt but less corrupt than our present cesspit in Washington DC which Donald is trying to correct.

The peoples anger at corruption is the reason Chavez was elected and that was a horrid error. The peoples anger against the same in the United States is why we elected Donald Trump. Venezuela choose poorly. We choose wisely.

Chavez actually did win his first election. All elections since have been stolen.

When I lived in Venezuela meat, poultry, and fish were plentiful and cheap. Local canned goods were reasonable but imported were expensive. Both were available in all you wanted to buy. Vegetables and staples were very cheap. Due to the abundance of reasonably price fresh veggies and meats we did not buy a lot of canned goods.

Democrats are going to run against this new tax law. I’m looking forward to it. Personally, I’d rather see them cut spending and pay down the debt before cutting taxes. First though, we have to make sure we keep a republican Congress, even if we can’t have a conservative Congress.
