I read the article to the boys in our troop. The parents in the back of the room all nodded approvingly.

cuts, scrapes and bruises only last for a while. Skills, knowledge and pride last a lifetime.

How is this anywhere within the duties of a police officer?

I’m only up to comment #2. I expect some Freeper to justify this…and associate you with Black Lives Matter.

Yea.. in 1955 the football helmet was NOT leather but the face mask In the middle of the season - was a bar across the nose. My Baseball LL (50-51) helmet was two pieces of plastic over the ear and two strips of elastic to hold them together. Think the whole team had 3 of them. I set pins in a bowling alley at 14- double alley, double shift, 5 nights a week and some weekends.that was with the PEGS in the floor..

I hear you. Those were the good/tough old days.
