“Obamas command that the Department of Justice ignore federal law against marijuana production and sales”
That never happened; here’s the memorandum in question: https://www.justice.gov/iso/opa/resources/3052013829132756857467.pdf
Famous arguments in favor of marijuana:
(knock knock knock)
Cheech: Open up, I think the cops saw me come in here.
(More knocks)
Chong: Who is it?
Cheech: It’s, Dave, man. Will you open up, I got the stuff with me.
Chong: Who?
Cheech: Dave, man. Open up.
Chong: Dave?
Cheech: Yeah, Dave. C’mon, man, open up, I think the cops saw me.
Chong: Dave’s not here.
I have no idea what ‘Team Pothead’ does but I think there is EVIDENCE ALL AROUND YOU that the government lies and has NO PROBLEM finding ‘professionals’ to lie for them as evidenced by ‘global warming, climate change’ for just ONE example. However, you can carry on drinking whatever kook aid the government gives you.
And cites no evidence whatsoever.

Ah, so you actually didn’t look at it. Oh well....
Oh sure....these people are just isolated ideologues with no research to back it up. Time to put your head back in the sand.
I don't think that's necessarily a fair characterization. I was a medical pot skeptic but I now believe there are legtimate cases where a doctor can prescribe and monitor a patient, just like any other drug.
As Chris Plante likes to say, liberals don’t care what you do, as long as it is mandatory.
I’ve worked in the health care industry for the last 20 years.
Most professional physicians are very good at prescribing pharmaceuticals and spending the kickback money they get from the drug manufacturers.
Most professional physicians know squat about holistic medicine and what is really required to keep the human body healthy.
If they had stopped for very long, you probably wouldnt consider them a stoner.
DUH if not stoned not a stoner.
continue = addicted
An addict does not have a choice. Not true many do it happens every day.
Denial is the problem if one has to stoned to feel good they missing something and they have to deal with it.
“DUH if not stoned not a stoner.”
Yep, therein lies your circular reasoning.
Impossible! Confirmation bias only applies to liberals!

I lived with two people were addicted. If they had been using alcohol like that, you would have called them a hardened alcoholic. They were high from the time they woke up until they went to bed. There were no breaks unless the supply dried up and then they were basket cases.
That says addicted to me.
That is not what an addiction is.
What you saw is two people who chose to smoke all day long, because they liked it. They could have chosen to stop anytime they wanted to, but they didn’t make that choice.
An addict does not have that choice.
Let me illustrate for you using your example what addiction is.
If those two people drank alcohol all day long from the time they woke up until the time they went to bed, and then one day they quit, they would die of withdrawal symptoms.
If you would genuinely like to know what actual addiction is, then please watch this.
Here is an addict, he has no choice, he must. But I give this man much respect. In the end, he made an impossible choice. And it cost him all.

You’re wrong.
I don’t know of any other way to explain it to you other than to say that you simply do not know what addiction is.
Please watch. This is an addict. This is what it means to not have a choice. This is what it means to be a slave to a substance. If an addict does not get his daily fix, he’s going to die. It doesn’t have a thing to do wanting to get stoned to feel good. It’s about life and death, and it is as serious as it gets.

“They could have chosen to stop anytime they wanted to”
of course they could.
“If those two people drank alcohol all day long from the time they woke up until the time they went to bed, and then one day they quit, they would die of withdrawal symptoms.”
So I died after I quit smoking after 10 years?
You simply do not know what addiction is.
I live in Los Angeles put your money on the table chump.
Just watch the stupid video and educate yourself.
I don’t care where you live, and I don’t need anymore useless nonsense from you.
Watch and learn, otherwise remain ignorant.
Nope, and neither did I.
People can choose to quit smoking anytime they want to. Simply have to muster the willpower.
Just because someone tells you something is addictive doesn’t mean that it actually is.
Watch the video, Pappy.
Lovely opinion piece full of fallacy. Had to check & see if the author wasn’t one of our resident prohibitionists here on FR when I read it lol.
Voters across the nation & now the Vermont legislature have decided they want access to legal cannabis. It may be a few more years but soon cannabis will be legal in more places where voters want it legal.
