I knew somebody who worked for a huge foreign aid organization, and apparently the group that dealt with certain parts of Africa had a phrase, “WAWA,” meaning “West Africa Wins Again.” This was when, for example, the grant letter was dumped into the river by a postman who just didn’t want to deliver the mail that day. Or any day, for that matter.
So there’s a level of inefficiency that is amazing, but since the fish rots from the head, it all comes from the top of the line: the corrupt, money-sucking racist/leftist government.
Trump should capitalize on this and call these countries out. We and the UN give them billions in aid and they still can’t provide drinking water, sanitation, medical care or...reliable mail delivery...to their citizens.
Most Haitians could be living in ocean view estates in Haiti.
They just need to get their act together and get it done by 2028.
Off topic a bit, but has everyone noticed, the media is in meltdown mode over Trump saying what he said. One “wrong” word and all hell breaks loose.
My thoughts:
1. It was a private meeting, and lots of things are said in private that wouldn’t be said publicly.
2. The mock outrage of liberals is exasperating. They say much much worse in their private moments. The liberals who profess to be oh so shocked at this language use this language all the time.
3. The issue at hand, regarding dealing with illegals and immigration issues, gets lost because the media and liberals decided to have a meltdown because Trump allegedly said “s*ithole”. The entire focus is on how Trump said a bad word, not on the issues at hand.
up until 30 or so years ago, immigration was means tested on ability to support oneself and actual need for their work.
Which is funny, because years ago when I learned about the immigration policy, they had the same tests.
You are taking away a job from someone in that country.
So, I am listening to Tony Robbins today and he relays this story about him having a seminar in Canada 30 years ago.
After one of his seminars he meets some Canadian official who insists on meeting him the next day at 5:30pm.
Tony imforms him he has a seminar at 7pm and it wouldn’t be possible.
The Canadian tells him it wasn’t a reuest.
So, they meet the next day and the Canadian demands to see his work permit, telling him he is taking away work from citizens.
Tony blurts back something like “How many people actually do what I do in Canada?” . He asked incredulously....
The Canadian official tells him he is selling Neuro Linguistic Programming and there are 5 people who can’ work because of him.
Tony doesn’t have a permit of course and is told his seminar is over. It can’t go on.
So, Tony contrives a great idea.
He asks one of his assistants how far away the Canadian Border is and learns it’s only 1.5 hours.
He hires a bunch of buses surprises everyone when they show up for the seminar that it is a road trip.
Bellingham, WA is where the seminar is held for the next 3 days, with them returning every night to the original location in Canada.
So, there are rules for immigration and laws in each country.
This craptastic notion has of everyone thinking “Oh, we are a nation of immigrants”
Nope. We are a nation of citizens within a border and share a common culture....
The USA is The Best Country in the world. We should be very selective about letting only the best into our country. If people are upset about that, then don’t try coming here and if you are here and offended by that, feel free to leave for the country of your choice.
Diluting and burdening our country with illiterate, low IQ, unskilled, unmotivated people are a drag on our country long term. We don’t need those people - period - and we can afford to keep them out.
We need to continuously upgrade our country. We need to do that by improving the citizens who are here and improving the talent pool with very selective legal immigrants.
