I live in LA..there is this mall about 10 min from me, used to be absolutely beautiful, it was the spot in town to hang out in..now you can’t walk two steps without falling over a homeless person..you cross the street to get away from one, and out pops another one. How about we take care of our OWN people before we worry about other countries problems

“How about we take care of our OWN people before we worry about other countries problems”
That needs to be shouted from the rooftops.
I have neighbors that will fly half way around the world (literally) to aid those ‘less fortunate’, but totally ignore the people half a block away who are desperate need of help.
Flaming liberals of course.

Yep. I live up Beachwood Canyon under the "Hollywood" sign (101 fwy at Gower / N. Beachwood Dr. ) There's a perpetual homeless camp under the bridge at 101/Gower. They occasionally set fire to their own stuff, they're walking up Beachwood stealing mail and packages left on porches, assaulting each other late at night, guys passed out drunk with their pants pulled down to their knees. I occasionally walk the gauntlet to go down to TJ's or something. Ridiculous.
Caltrans routs their camps occasionally and the next day - they're back again.
