Gov.-elect Phil Murphy kicked off his inaugural weekend at a Newark reception Friday highlighting New Jersey's diversity and offering it as rebuttal to anti-immigration comments from President Donald Trump.
Standing in front of supporters seated in the pews of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Murphy joined religious leaders of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and other denominations for an interfaith prayer service.
"Boy, I would love to invite the leadership of this country to come into this cathedral and say, 'This is the United States of America,'" Murphy said.

Nice of the cardinal to have this infanticide supporter in the hallowed cathedral; this is in what had been one of the last two bearable parts of Newark, but recently is degenerating into Camden (abandoned homes, suspicious fires as working people flee, etc.).

Murphy lives in Middletown Township, New Jersey which is 94% white and .10% black.
