The point of the rate reduction was to collapse Socialist Stupidity sooner. Their goal at the time was to confiscate everyone’s 401k plans.

The $1,000 bonuses are just crumbs to Pelosi, I’m sure. She married money and has never had to actually work in her whole life, so does not understand how much value that has to ordinary people.

Her attitude shows up the hypocrisy in liberal virtue signaling. I know several leftists were up in arms about failures to make feminine products non-taxable. If a woman were to spend $10 a month on tampons or pads, and she lived in an area with an 8% sales tax, making feminine products non-taxable would save a whopping 80 cents per month. Somehow, that $0.80 was supposed to mean the difference between having to choose between fuel and food, and opposing it was the ultimate gesture of misogyny—but a $1,000 bonus (which in this example would pay the sales tax for those feminine products for 12.5 years, for the mathematically challenged) is just crumbs.

Leftists are just being hypocrites, as usual.
