YES! Closer to you and I think I already told you that my daughter has promised to drive me to Washington, DC and then onto WVA so I can nose around the OLD family digs in Wheeling etc. I’m sure I’ll be able to visit with you for an afternoon!
A neighbor here has told me how to get a scooter to get around. I have to use a cane now (or a walker) and I need two surgeries. The one tomorrow has been postponed until January 31. Ugh. My spine and back are shot.
You must write your book! Talk into a recorder! You can do that while sitting or lying in your nice, warm, cozy, comfy bed!
LOVE YOU GIRL.
Prayers and hugs.
Later.
I’m heading for the kitchen and then for my bed.
I actually cooked yesterday and tonight.
I suggest that both of you sign up for and attend a Beginning Experience weekend.
Their website is down, but check with your local churches about a weekend in your area.
Be sure to let me know when you plan that trip. I don’t want to miss having you (and your daughter) to come and visit and stay as long as you want to. I have plenty of room for two in my apt. It’s over the studio and has 23 steps, but there is a lift chair. I don’t use it, but my beloved did. I’m sure if I live long enough I will need it also. I use it to bring my groceries up. With your scooter I can take you all around the village. It’s such a great place to visit, with so many museums and the great murals on the flood walls and you might be here when the boats come in. The Mississippi Queen sometimes makes it up the Ohio. Hoping that the Delta Queen will be restored in time to run this summer. So far, the only time I’m not here is when I go to Wolfpen Woods Pioneer Village (google) in the first full week of Sept.to be Katy Ulen of 1798. See something both of us can look forward to.
Oh sweet Salvation, that is a sweet suggestion, but I am doing fine because I know where my beloved is. He is with his Savior and Master. Sure I miss him and I sometimes cry, but I am sooooo thankful for the beautiful and blessed 51 years that my Lord allowed us together. We were a team and we still are. We did have some adventures for sure. and the best adventure was spent serving our Lord. Between us over the years we pastored just about every UMC in Mason Co. WV.
We didn’t get to got to church together that much, because we were sometimes on opposite ends of the county. That’s one reason I have such a great support system. I’m the one who counsels other widows & widowers. When the snows are over and the weather settles down I plan on setting up a Christ & Coffee room in the empty shop over which I live and own. Need a place to put all my books, ha. I’m only 84 and in good health for my age. I have to be busy.
Thank you for caring.
God bless
Nan
Sounds like a good plan.

This weekend is about you looking at you, though, Nan.
Do consider it.
It helped me through 10 deaths in my immediate family and my husband’s family. One of them a suicide.
