Byron York: Trump dossier probes now include possible State Department involvement
Washington Examiner ^ | 1/16/2018 | Byron York

Congressional investigations into the Trump dossier have so far been focused on the FBI and Justice Department. They still are, but now investigators are also looking into a possible Obama State Department role in the collection and dissemination of sensational and still-unverified allegations against candidate Donald Trump gathered by a former British spy working for the Hillary Clinton campaign.

In addition to having contacts in the Obama Justice Department and FBI, that former spy, Christopher Steele, was also well-connected with the Obama State Department. A book published in November by a correspondent at the Guardian, "Collusion: Secret meetings, dirty money, and how Russia helped Donald Trump win," noted that Steele's 2010 work on the World Cup soccer corruption investigation won him the trust not only of the FBI, but the State Department as well. From author Luke Harding:

Hillary is going down. Not for the dossier, but for Uranium one and the Clinton Foundation Pay to Play.

Slightly OT but: I still maintain the DOJ should be focusing on one or two major crimes and actually prosecuting. U1 or CF would be fine. Currently the DOJ is allegeding they have to work on every crime, 24/7, down to the crossed T’s and Dotted I’s. That is just a manner in which to whitewash everything.

Trump is taking it to the Deep State. Sessions and his pals are doing little despite the 10 Trillion Sealed Indictments. Meuller & Co. are waiting for their break to get away “scott free”.

thanx for posting that picture, gramps.

I assume that is mccain op, David Kramer?

If you dig into Kramer’s background, during his career, he has heavy exposure to russian & ukrainian matters.

couple this to nellie ohr & christopher steele’s background & you come up with a common denominator: all Russia experts.

Add GPS simpson’s wife mary jacoby to the mix with nellie ohr, and chris steele and you have another common denominator: all CIA spooks.

so, if you have all these same peep with finger prints on the “Russian/Clinton,DNC” dossier.....could you connect all the russian experts & cia spooks to assume that russian expert, kramer, might also be a cia spook??

who knows? pretty close association for these swampers who all collaborated on the creation of the dossier.

will be interesting to watch this play out.

be sure to ping me if anything like this turns up after kramer’s congressional testimony.

PS: the more I look at at the circumstances around the creation and distribution of the dossier, the more it looks like a cia op??

does anyone remember the cia’s animated cartoon explaining twa 800?

where does mullah brennan fit in to all of this?

With Kramer that is a safe assumption.

For decades, the State Department has been a source of Black Budget funding and closeting black ops for the CIA for decades:

re: subject of your pix posted in #42, McCain Institute employee & former Obammy State dept Asst Sec of State, David Kramer.

It is being reported that he has been avoiding service on his subpoena to testify before congress.

I guess we'll see if he shows up

If Sessions didn’t recuse himself, right now he would be part of the investigation as someone on Trump’s campaign.

Totally wrong. He is the AG, who would have been in charge of any investigation into the President, including shutting it down after he determined the basis of the Trump investigation - the Steele dossier - was a partisan hit piece that was improperly used to surveil the Trump candidacy, and the Trump transition team. That's where any honest assessment would have led, including assigning a special prosecutor to investigate THAT.

The DOJ would have been entirely shut down which means things like MS13, Other immigration issues, the drug issues and other important things would not have happened.

The DOJ would have completely shut down if Sessions didn't recuse himself? Why? Sessions isn't capable of getting to the bottom of the coup against Trump, and do the other business of the DOJ?

No judges would have been voted on and no investigations into things like Uranium 1 would be happening, nor investigations into FBI corruption.

No judges would have been voted on, if Sessions didn't recuse himself? Not sure how you could correlate that, as Judge approval is a function of the Senate, not the AG, or even the AG.

Sessions recusing himself has kept the DOJ open for business.

Again you seem to be inferring that Sessions can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

Hillary Clinton is a distraction at this point. DOJ will get around to her and more specifically to Obama once the dossier and FISA warrant is addressed.

Hillary isn't a distraction, her crimes of mishandling SAP-level classified information, and destroying evidence, is an open and shut case. She is some of, if not the lowest hanging fruit available, for someone truly interested in prosecuting Hillary Clinton. Obama would be a significantly harder case to make. You take Hillary now if you want Obama, before it's all just old news and sour grapes. At this point, one year in and Trump still the one who is seeing his team subpoena'ed, it unfortunately appears he is the actual target.

Be patient and stay tuned.

I'm hopeful, but there's no reason to be patient. They have more than enough evidence already to arrest Hillary and her associates for obvious crimes, and Comey and his associates for obstruction of justice of those crimes. Meanwhile the only person arresting anyone is the DOJ's weapon of choice, Robert Mueller, who is arresting Trump associates.
