Because (D), and a lot of (R), believe it’s only the *OTHER* guy getting the shaft.
PLENTY of examples on this board of gnashing & wailing when THEIR ox is gored, but happy to sic govt on others for their benefit (SS/MediXYZ/’paid’ tax-cuts/etc.)
Though it may take a 1x2 to the head of (R), it usually takes 4x4+ for the (D)...if they learn at all; their *belief* in that which is not, being so strong...
