Ana Oktay rushed to the hospital in late December struggling to breathe, with a 102-degree fever and a cough that wouldnt let up.
She expected doctors to tell her she had pneumonia or bronchitis.
They were just like: Its just influenza A. Its just whats going around, said Oktay, 49.
An influenza A strain known as H3N2 is making people so ill in California that thousands have shown up in recent weeks at hospitals struggling to fight the infection.
I was flat on my back and in bed for 10 days, said Oktay, who lives in Palms. This has been hands down the worst flu Ive ever dealt with.

No flu shot for me!
Fortunately, I work in a “cleanroom” factory. We all wear full bunny suits, surgical masks, along with latex gloves.
Flu is rare around here.
“...Now new strains may be coming.”
New flu strains mean new flu shot mean more flu shot profits ...... and before you know it, it’s flu season again ....
The cost of unrestricted travel as well as unauthorized entry. Border control is a must to contain and limit the travel of communicable diseases. Quarantine is not an evil word.

Ooops....Heinie is back.
The millions of flu victims are incubators for future mutant strains.
I’m hoping the flu I had last year will protect against this year’s versions. I’m mainlining Vitamin D as well.
A combination of NAC, N-acetyl Cysteine and calcium ascorbate in a ratio of about 3/4 tsp of NAC and 1 and 1/2 tsp of calcium ascorbate produces remarkable results in regards to the flu virus as NAC is a precursor to glutathione a potent booster of your immune system. N-Acetyl Cysteine cleaves disulfide bonds by converting them to two sulfhydryl groups. This action results in the breakup of mucoproteins in lung mucus, reducing their chain lengths and thinning the mucus, improving conditions such as bronchitis and flu. Double-blind research has found that N-Acetyl Cysteine supplements improved symptoms and prevented recurrences in people with chronic bronchitis. N-Acetyl Cysteine at a dosage of 1,200 mg per day along with calcium ascorbate about 3000 mg (buffered vitamin C) helps to prevent Influenza infection, reduces the symptoms of existing Influenza infection and reduces the duration of Influenza infections.
