I see this more as an absent-minded action than a senior moment. I could see anyone doing something similar if their attention is focused elsewhere and the actions are almost subconscious force of habit.
He wasn’t trying to take off his glasses, he had itchy eyebrows!

A mild heart attack is preferable to brain cancer. Neither is desirable.

I lost my reading glasses all the time, it became a joke. I would lay them down any where and every where. I bought a chain to keep them around my neck...then I really lost them. Completely lost them, turned the house upside down, no sign of them. Had to buy a new pair to lose.
Weeks later I was dusting in the bedroom and I have a small wall clock next to the bed- there were the glasses I lost! On their chain with the chain hung around the clock as if they were hung up like a necklace in a jewelry box.
Maybe the first signs of bleeding eyes pandemic.
