I do the opposite. I put my glasses on top of the bill of my hat and then forget they’re there when I take the hat off. whoosh - crackle they go onto the blacktop/concrete...whatever hard, scratchy surface off of which they can carom.

I had just hopped onto the jet ski and was about to take off when my brother-in-law shouted from the dock, about 20' away, "Your hat!"

I grabbed the bill, flung the hat to him and watched my brand new Oakleys fly off into the lake.
