President Donald Trump will mark the first anniversary of his inauguration with a celebration at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, with tickets starting at $100,000 a pair.

That amount, according to the invitation, will pay for dinner and a photograph with the president. For $250,000, a couple can also take part in a roundtable. Trump told reporters in November that he had thought about having a celebration that month, a year after his victory over Hillary Clinton, but he was touring Asia at the time.

The event, hosted by Ronna Romney McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, and the casino mogul Steve Wynn, will benefit the Trump presidential campaign and the RNC.

Wow. How Clintonesque.

I understand having to build a ‘war chest’, but I really hate this aspect of politics. It means that we who can't just shell out $250,000 to participate in a round table do not have equal access to representation. It's all pay to play. I'm not criticizing Trump for doing this as a necessary manner of fund-raising, but I personally think this aspect of politics stinks.

The fundraiser would not just be for Trump’s war chest but more importantly, the 2018 elections. It’s clear that for Trumps agenda to move forward Republican’s have to expand their majority this fall.

But we can email them or send them a tweet. You will never get money out of politics.

If the Senate doesn’t get its act together then all the headlines will be about Trump partying with billionaires while the government is shut down.

One of the very best things about Trump is that no matter how much money an individual donates to his cause, he’d never feel obliged to go along with any scheme the individual proposes. Everything about the man is merit-based.

Hitlery beat Bernie by lying and cheating.

Her lying and cheating was not enough against Trump.

Ticket of a lifetime ... I’d gladly pay if I was at that income level ...

What they SHOULD also do is hold a raffle for five lucky winners to attend for free as a publicity stunt.

The cure for that abomination is to require all political contributions to be ANONYMOUS. You can't sell influence if you don't know who is buying. Americans should be allowed to contribute any amount the choose to any party or candidate they wish; that is FREEDOM. But being able to purchase a result for the donation is BRIBERY, a CRIMINAL ACT.

I got several tweets and emails from Donald Trump asking me to contribute at least three dollars for a chance to be at that party. So I believe that they will pick a couple of people that didn’t pay the full price. I could be wrong
