Sad to think that 25 years ago CNN was the authority on what was actually happening in the world and today is an television/cable version of a poor cousin of the old National Enquirer.
CNN jumped the shark around the time of the first Gulf War. This is not news.

CNN was once considered ‘middle of the road’ years ago...even though they really weren’t, at least they could claim that to be the case. Now they are Captain Ahab trying to get that Great white whale

Agree with the sentiment but take issue with the phrasing. "Objective journalism" has always been partisan publication pretending to be "reporting".
Reporting, as in swift complete and accurate dissemination of new information, commenced dying when schools of journalism were created. As "journalists" replaced "reporters" we no longer received news but endless opinions/editorials presented as news. "Who, what, where, when, and how" were replaced by endless "why" with absolutely no reason, only agenda.
This article is a good analysis of the hypocrisy of CNN claiming to be a purveyor of news. But it is important to remember that it does so because we have allowed the narrative to change from news to opinion.
President Trump has rightfully called out CNN and others for their "fake news". We need to follow suit by insisting on news rather than agenda driven opinion.
I watched the announcement of Billy-Jeff being impeached on CNN. Bernie Shaw and judy Woodruff cried. Before that i thought CNN was a news organization.

If it can't behave in a civil manner then all respect must be removed. Let them be the Jerry Springer of far left news entertainment like Jon Stewart was. At least Stewart was occasionally funny and made fun of the other side. Can't say that about CNN.

I suspect they’ve done far worse since Saddam. They have grown more hysterical as they are losing power to influence. I also suspect some CNN peeps are in The memo.
I’d take the Enquirer over CNN any day.
Indeed. They are pathetic excuses for adults.
They’ve all really become unhinged over there. It’s scary to think about the kind of world people like them would have us living in if they ever gained power.

I do not allow anyone in my home to watch CNN. I have tried to get my cable service to block it.
