I think it was in Dec. 1995 the gov’t shut down for three
weeks or so. And then a winter storm kept it closed a few
more days after they were to return to work.
Speaking as someone who works for the DOD; I have been through two shutdowns, believe me it was no big deal. I got that pay back whem I went back to work.
