“Your statement that it has zero toxicity is flat wrong”

Show me a SINGLE case where a healthy person not abusing other drugs had organ damage or died from cannabis

Not at all.

Most of us rarely comment anymore because the potheads lose their sh*t if you get between them and their dope.

You have seen the maniacal rationalizations.

The rest of us are just weary of disproving their wild claims, ad infinitum.

“Again we are not talking about other drugs we are talking about your assertion that mj is 100% safe.”

Fine. 99.999% safe and far safer than any other drug that exists. Even water is not 100% safe

“and most people on the ground know it.”

No, we don’t.

We know the exact opposite to be true.

Knock off the logical fallacy crap.

It’s annoying.

You are tiresome. I cannot show you actual cases I’ve treated there is this thing called Hippa. I will give you a list of toxicity and damage I’ve treated in the last month. Kidney damage from dehydration due to cyclic vomiting. Icu admissions for hypotension requiring pressors. Telemetry admissions for syncope in some cases recurrent syncope. Repeated admissions for electrolyte abnormalities from cyclic vomiting. Having to rewrite post op pain protocols to include a high risk drug called ketamine because your precious stoners are resistant to opioid pain relief when they ski into a tree stoned out of their minds. Then let’s talk about ski, motorcycle and motor vehicle accidents contributed to or caused by cannabis intoxication I work in a level 2 trauma center and see it all the time. Then we can get into the folks injured by and dying of their other drug habits that marijuana was the gateway to. Is that a big enough list for you? Don’t bother to reply I’m not wasting any more time on you

“Highly hallucinogenic, affecting major body functions, and is a gateway drug.”

So why is alcohol still sold at nearly any gas station? It does all these same things and kills 100,000 people every year.

IF the government also banned alcohol, it would show they are actually serious about “safety”. They actually are only serious about profits

In order for you to be taken seriously, you will need to lose the comparative argument style. (Well, its not any worse than alcohol . . . ).

Everyone thinks it is a stupid way to approach this problem.

The only question is whether you want to add millions of pot smokers to the population starting at a very young age. When pot is legal, it is available. No one is hiding it, older friends own it, celebrities promote it. Since it is detected when used in the last few days up to weeks, there is no adequate test for impairment on the job or behind the wheel.

If I am on a construction site 47 floors up in the air, I’d like to think that the guys on the 50th floor have some concern that if there is an accident on the job and everyone is drug tested, something bad will happen to them. Likewise, I remember my friends driving high on the weakass pot we had from the 70’s. “Man are we going fast enough? [car moving on the highway at 20mph] “It feels like we are flying. Blah, blah, blah.”

I’m retired from aerospace manufacturing, and I share your concerns. We have some high energy processes that I’d hate to see a stoned or drunk individual controlling. ( Pratt did test for alcohol as well as drugs in it’s random tests.) Nothing like a piece of 1400 degree titanium squirting out of a die due to improper placement to ruin your day.

That’s not toxicity and no direct damage occured.

That’s people with low blood pressure taking a drug that further lowers blood pressure.

That’s people who have a rare vomiting condition and shouldn’t take cannabis.

That’s people who took pain meds without pain. Then became addicted to stronger meds.

That’s people who took drugs that impair and operated a vehicle.

These are the sick people who should not be taking cannabis in the first place. However, even then, their outcome sounds far better than the 150,000 people DYING from using Rx drugs as directed!

I don’t get to name anything lol.

Prior to the early 1900’s cannabis was simply called “cannabis”.

In fact, there are numerous medicinal cannabis products that do not use “strain names”. Sublingual drops, vapor cartridges, pills & topical creams & many other items are just of the medical cannabis products available to patients here in the state of Florida.

The problem is that anybody that wants to use pot is already using it. Its merely a plant that anyone can grow. In school I remember kids as young as 12 growing it.

The only thing that legalization will change is that stores will sell it instead of dealers. They check ID, pay taxes and make sure the cannabis is clean.

Right now all that money is going to criminals and people are smoking contaminated grass. Increasing criminality and making people sick.

“It has no medicinal benefits...”

Yes, it does, Marvin. Nothing you’ll ever say or write will ever change that fact.

Have a blessed Sunday, Marvin. Don’t drink too much today, k?

Again, you are completely wrong. Legalization will greatly increase the number of persons smoking pot. You may not realize it, but there are persons who actually obey the law.

“Cannabis is a dangerous drug”

Name calling & use of fallacies will never make that statement true.

You are right. The statement is true because it is true. Not because I justify it.

People only obey the law when they can get caught. Growing a plant in your own home and smoking it is unlikely to get anyone caught so nobody has cared much about such an un-enforceable law.

Impossible to enforce unless you have a surveillance state with SWAT raids over potted plants. Absolute absurdity...
