there's no reason to expect an increase [in users toking themselves into befuddled unemployability] with legalization, because the new smokers are people responsible enough not to have smoked when it was illegal. Then any legalization law should specify that no public resources will be spent dealing with the consequences of said law. Is that fair enough?
I'm fine with the law saying that - and making it retroactive to alcohol and tobacco users too. But since it's a moot point, the absence of such a clause shouldn't stop legalization from passing.

The stoners are already stoned. They did not wait for it all to become legal...and you are already supporting them.

There is truth in the statement that Cannabis is a gateway drug.It is not a gateway drug. If someone was going to get strung out on heroine or whatever, the marijuana is not what got them there. If that is true, everyone who ever toked would be a hard drug addict.
And about the child, I agree with you that that is the subject. So easy to get distracted.

CND topicals are being sold OTC in some Oregon convenience stores.

If that is true, everyone who ever toked would be a hard drug addict. No what is true is that there are people, and it is indisputable, that have addictive personalities. For them Marijuana, Opioids prescribed for pain, alcohol, cigarettes and others could always be a gateway drug. All the rage right now is for attacking Opioids as highly addictive and deadly, which it can be for some and quite so for those with addictive personalities, but not everyone.
As far as Marijuana being a gateway drug? I daresay you can find as many pro as anti studies on the subject. My view as I have stated, is depends on the individual and their personality.

Yeah. There was a guy making them for his dispensary, locally. It was shut down for other reasons. Not sure how he distributes, now. Kinda puts the lie to the Fed classification of mine having no medical properties or value.

I don’t think I have much difference with you position, especially on the addictive personalities. My point I guess is that it is the addictive personality that is the gateway, not whatever substance that got them headed down that horrible, destructive path.

Agreed, the problem is that we appear to have many more people with addictive personalities and are racing to make more drugs available to them, all at the governments profit of course.

How about this for a change?
